Devotions & Prayer Groups
Eucharistic Adoration is a practice in the Roman Catholic Churches, in which the Blessed Sacrament is exposed to and adored by the faithful. When this exposure and adoration is constant (that is, twenty-four hours a day), it is called perpetual adoration.
First Friday's--Eucharistic Adoration with Benediction is the first Friday of each month @ 7 pm we alternate churches each month. (November 2011 will be at Sacred Heart in Stamford)
Devotional Prayer Night--Prayer to the Sacred Heart and the Rosary will be offered each Tuesday evening at Sacred Heart Church from 7 - 8 pm.
Rosary means "Crown of Roses". Our Lady has revealed to several people that each time they say a Hail Mary they are giving her a beautiful rose and that each complete Rosary makes her a crown of roses. The rose is the queen of flowers, and so the Rosary is the rose of all devotions and it is therefore the most important one. Like the Mass, The Holy Rosary is considered a perfect prayer because within it lies the awesome story of our salvation.
